Several organizations provide health-related information, counseling, referrals or written materials upon request. None, however, will directly diagnose or recommend treatment.

• American Cancer Society (ACS): This trusted organization provides expert resources for people with cancer and their families.
• Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts: This online resource for the Massachusetts home health community provides education, information on legislation related to home care and more.
• Home Care & Hospice Online: This is the National Association for Home Care’s virtual headquarters. The NAHC is committed to representing the interests of the home care and hospice communities.
• Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine Physician Profile System: Search for your doctor’s name and learn about their education and training, awards and publications, insurance plans accepted and malpractice and disciplinary histories.
• Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing: The mission of the Board of Registration in Nursing is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Commonwealth through the fair and consistent enforcement of the statutes and regulations governing nursing practice and education.
• National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA): The NAELA is dedicated to improving the quality of legal services for seniors and people with disabilities. Find an experienced NAELA member attorney on this site.
